Highlighting Digital Artists

November 21st, 2024

We're proud to share artwork from our talented Tritons in our Digital Arts program. View our highlighted artists below:

Steven Triano (10th)
Digital Arts 2, Illuminated Manuscript

"In my manuscript, I wanted to highlight how there’s always a turning point in somebody’s life, good or bad. I focused on the colors gold and black; gold representing hope and life, and black representing death and new beginnings. Through the sunrise and the stars I portray the afterlife with the stars, looking to the sunrise as a new generation grows. The word “rough-hew” I put in between the day and night, to represent the turning point in the picture, the word “rough-hew” is commonly used for chopping wood or cutting something so I sliced the word and wanted to make it represent the division in the quote. The sun and moon are similar to the stars and sunrise, as the moon represents new beginnings, similar to the color black, and the afterlife for the stars. I made the sun right on the first letter T, to indicate the start of the quote and the start of something new in life."

Hannah Hsia (11th)
AP Digital Arts, Photo Collage

"The purpose of this piece is to display through a photo collage that God is in control. It is related to the fall gallery theme from Shakespeare's Hamlet, there’s a “Divinity that shapes our ends”.
