Creating Beauty – AP Studio Art

This year, Pacifica added AP Studio Art to the curriculum providing advanced art students the opportunity to express their creativity in new and challenging ways while showcasing the skills they have acquired over the past three years.

Assignment: Draw a botanical subject in colored pencil on toned paper, focusing on values and color. – Emma Hammond

Assignment: Create a large-scale double portrait of someone – painting the same subject twice in one piece. This is a challenge in capturing a likeness as well as a conceptual twist on traditional portraiture. – Ali Artwork

Assignment: Draw a self-portrait in graphite, referencing a life-sized skeleton to reveal the anatomy beneath a portion of the face. – Zeke Gremillion
