February 17th, 2023

On February 14, Christianity Today published an article written by Pacifica's own freshman History & Theology faculty, Benjamin Vincent. In his article, titled "Write a New Hymn unto the Lord,"Vincent writes about his experience with hymn writing as a spiritual discipline and states that it "should be a practice for everyday saints, not just for worship professionals."

Benjamin Vincent is a part-time pastor and full-time historical theology enthusiast. In addition to his ongoing work as a teacher at Pacifica and as a pastor to young adults in Long Beach, he has spent several years as a tutor and teaching assistant for both undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Greek, theology, and ethics. Vincent received his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical & Theological Studies from Biola University. He is also a graduate of the Torrey Honors College and the 2021 recipient of the college’s prestigious G. Campbell Morgan Award for scholarship and Christian character. Most recently, he completed his Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry at Talbot School of Theology.
