Encouraging Lives of Faith

Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and our neighbors as ourselves.

During these exciting high school years, students are encouraged to grow and take greater ownership of their faith — connecting who they are to everything God desires them to be.

Chapel
Pacifica Chapel in the school's gymnasium

Every week, all of our faculty, staff, and students gather together for Chapel, to worship and to learn from God’s word. Our Chapels welcome pastors, teachers, musicians, missionaries, and other fascinating people from Orange County and around the globe to share God's Word. We also regularly serve one another, and our local community, through various organizations and service days.

Mentor Groups

Grade-and-gender-specific mentor groups consist of 10-12 students each, led by one adult mentor. Each group is further divided into two smaller groups of 5-6 students for bi-monthly mentor lunches. Mentor lunches occur every Monday, with each small group meeting twice monthly in an assigned location. During these sessions, the mentor and mentees discuss the Mentor Curriculum, fostering meaningful conversations and connections over a meal.

Thinking Christianly

Throughout Pacifica’s curriculum, we allow both secular and sacred texts to speak for themselves. At the same time, we reflect on the biblical narrative. In this way, our students discover two things simultaneously: important works of human creation and how they fit into God’s order. We call this the integration of faith with learning.

Events

Throughout the year, students participate in various activities and services that follow the church calendar. One of the most anticipated events is Lessons & Carols in December, where students and faculty come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus through scripture readings and choral performances. Another significant event is the Holy Week Service, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ through prayer, worship, and solemn reflection. These events provide opportunities for students to connect with God and with one another.
