We Are The Tritons
And we are a relational community.
Relationships are central to a Pacifica education. Students learn the abundant and joyful life is marked by giving and receiving grace in community. At Pacifica, we know each other well, and are known. In community we learn, grow in faith, attend games and art exhibits, and live life together. These experiences allow personal growth as students begin to share their virtue with the larger world.
events
Pacifica is a campus with a vibrant student life and events throughout the year. Some of these events include: All-School Retreat, quarterly dances, pep rallies, Triton Ball, Wedge Week, First Friday, Friendsgiving, Chrismifica, and many more! These fun-filled activities provide a context in which students challenge themselves to do something new, pursue opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, and build strong relationships with their peers and teachers.
Associated Students (AS)
Associated Students (AS), Pacifica’s student government, exists to lead the student body toward the fulfillment of the school mission and to create campus life events from Triton Ball, to Winter Formal, to the All-School Retreat.
CLUBS
A range of campus clubs offer valuable activities for all students. Club offerings include Associated Student (AS), Prefect Board, Hiking Club, Prayer Club, STEAM Club, and many other student-led clubs. There is something for every student within Pacifica’s club program. Club rush takes place at the beginning of each school year!
WEEKLY GATHERINGS
In addition to weekly Chapel, our entire community gathers once a week for our All-School Meeting. During these gatherings our Associated Students President & Vice President deliver school-wide announcements, in addition to promoting upcoming Triton pep rallies, news, and events!
Pacifica Houses
The House System is a vibrant and integral part of our community life. Designed to foster a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and school spirit, the House System encourages students to engage with peers across different grades and backgrounds, promoting a culture of unity and mutual support. Pacifica’s unique approach to houses also provides weekly opportunities for staff-to-student mentoring, fostering character development and encouraging growth in the Christian faith.
New students, and new staff, get drafted into one of our Houses (St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, St. John) during the annual House Draft at the beginning of the school year. Shortly after being drafted, Tritons attend the annual All-School Retreat which provides a multitude of opportunities for the Houses to compete against each other. From field games to the infamous “Lip Sync Battle," our House competitions are designed to foster community between students, staff, and faculty because we believe that relationships anchor formation.
When our Tritons return from the All-School Retreat, the competition still lives on and continues throughout the school year with events like our week-long Triton Ball tournament, Family (Triton) Feud, and the annual Campus Decorating Contest. The leading House hoists their House Flag in the Triton Courtyard on our 15th Street Campus for all to see, as we tally the points and continually update the scores after each event. The Houses are a beautiful picture of living life together as we strive to create momentous occasions that will surely turn into memories. Tritons, we wish you the best of luck as you compete, and may the best House win!
