Join us for Pacifica's 9th Annual Dedication Service on Friday, August 25

Pacifica invites you to join us on Friday, August 25 as we gather for Pacifica's 9th Annual Dedication Service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. This special event is the first of the 2023-2024 school year and as such, attendance is expected for ALL students and their parents.

Important details about Dedication are listed below. Please review them carefully and contact Jana DeMots if you have any questions.

DESCRIPTION AND SIGNIFICANCE

Dedication—an hour-long formal service both academic and spiritual—is significant to our community in that it serves as a student's first official act as a Triton (The First Walk) and represents the beginning of their high school journey. That journey then comes to an end in four years at Commencement, their last official act as a Triton (The Last Walk). During the service, we will thank God for His providential care and ask for His blessing and guidance for the year ahead. We will remind one another of our school’s unique mission and who we are in Christ. And we will enjoy the pleasure of welcoming our newest group of students and families to the Pacifica community.

LOCATION

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church - Sanctuary

600 St. Andrew's Drive, Newport Beach

SCHEDULE

4:45 PM - Transfer Students arrive and gather in the Foyer of the Sanctuary to meet other students in their grades

5:00 PM - Incoming Freshmen arrive and report immediately to Dierenfield Hall (located across the courtyard from the Sanctuary)

5:00 PM - Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors arrive

5:15 PM - Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors take their seats in the Student Section of the Sanctuary

5:20 PM - Parents, family, and friends take their seats in the General Seating area of the Sanctuary

5:30 PM - Service begins

6:30 PM - Service ends

ATTIRE

Students: School uniform dress code (Tops: white button-up shirt with optional school tie, polos also acceptable. Bottoms: pants only for boys; skirts or pants for girls - no shorts.)

All Others: Business casual / Sunday best

PARKING

Please try to carpool as parking may be limited.
