A Look into Pacifica's Junior Classical League
March 27th, 2024
Pacifica Christian's Junior Classical League (JCL) has had an exciting year so far! They've studied and celebrated the Classical world with museum trips, themed parties, a regional convention, and many are about to embark on a trip to Northern California for the 69th state JCL Convention!
Amidst all of this activity, the members have also been hard at work preparing for and completing a variety of national exams. These exams are distributed to students across the country by the American Classical League and cover various topics related to Classical civilization; Etymology, Vocabulary, Mythology, History, and Latin, among others.

As the results from these exams begin to trickle in, we are thrilled to announce that many of our students have earned awards for their performances on the National Classical Etymology Exam! Ava Aneed received a bronze medal in the Advanced category (grades 11-12), Avery Driscoll received a bronze medal for the Intermediate category (grades 9-10), and, finally, both Reese Holladay and Sky Taketa are silver medalists in the Intermediate category.
Please join us in celebrating these JCL team members on their accomplishment!
