Pacifica Christian High School-Orange County is pleased to announce the hiring of Jenny Griffith as the school’s founding Head Coach for Boys Sand Volleyball. Mrs. Griffith was born and raised in Southern California where she attended Newport Harbor High School, becoming the National Player of the Year, thus receiving a full scholarship to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). During her four years at UCLA, the Lady Bruins lost only four Matches in four seasons, made two final four appearances, and won two National Championships. After graduating UCLA with a degree in History, Mrs. Griffith went on to become a national team member for the USA Olympic team. After her indoor career, Mrs. Griffith played Professional Beach Volleyball on the WPVA tour and received “Rookie of the Year” in 1995.
"I am very excited to have Jenny join the Triton Athletic Family." stated Brandon Gonzalez, Athletic Director. "Her knowledge, experience, and passion for volleyball, as well as her desire to develop well-rounded student-athletes, will create an excellent foundation for our Boys Sand Volleyball program."
Mrs. Griffith has over 20 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and collegiate levels, most recently coaching at Vanguard University and Estancia High School. Jenny is married to Brian Griffith, her husband of 22 years, and has three beautiful children; Abigail age 20, Joshua age 16—current Pacifica student—and Emma, their angel in heaven.
