Friday, March 13th was an unforgettable day for Pacifica students, as they learned that school was transferring online effective Monday, March 16th.  For the cast and crew of Fiddler on the Roof, this was especially devastating. They had been rehearsing since January 6th, and were still two weeks away from opening night. Theatrical performances all over the country were being canceled, and it looked as though Fiddler on the Roof would suffer the same fate - but, as always, Pacifica proved itself different from other schools.

In three hours, a theatre was procured, musicians hired, a professional videographer with three cameras was reserved, and an incredible team of parents pulled everything together so that the show could go on - and it did - two weeks early, in an almost empty theatre.  The resultant high quality, professionally recorded production has now been granted special streaming rights by Music Theatre International!  You are invited to attend the YouTube Watch Party and enjoy this great musical, performed by an incredibly talented Pacifica cast, without a single dress or technical rehearsal. Please watch and celebrate with us as a community - see these amazing students pull off a miracle! Click here to download the digital PLAYBILL.

Fiddler on the Roof is a must-see musical, perfect for all ages, and one of the most enduring shows of all time. Based on the beloved classic story about a Jewish family’s struggle and survival in revolutionary Russia, the far-reaching messages of the musical are more relevant today than ever. Audiences will experience a new understanding of the pioneer spirit, the importance of family and traditions, and God’s peace in times of trial. This unique production continues Pacifica's performing arts department’s Call to Conscience theme for the season.
