Change Regarding Grades for Independent PE or Pacifica Sport
October 23rd, 2024
For the 2024-25 school year, students will no longer receive a letter grade on their report card or transcript for their Independent PE or Pacifica sports. Grading will be in the form of credit received (CR) or no credit (NC). Although physical education is still a graduation requirement (two years or four semesters), these grades have never been calculated into Pacifica student's GPAs, and colleges do not consider non-academic work in their admission process. In order to highlight academic performance, letter grades will no longer be assigned for PE and sports or other non-academic courses/activities.
