Performing Arts

The performing arts are a vital component of the Arts Department at Pacifica. We strongly encourage all students to experiment in any of the opportunities relating to creative expression live, on a stage, before an audience and it is our passion to create as many opportunities for our students to do so.

Pacifica students receive professional mentoring in the fields of acting for the stage, acting for the camera, dance, music, and vocal performance. Our expert instructors are not only successfully practicing their own crafts in the Orange County artistic community, they are master teachers inside and outside of the classroom. A Pacifica performing arts student begins their journey as a student but leaves as a peer and partner in the greater artistic community.

Whether a student has performed before or not, all experience levels have an equal place in our community. It is our belief that creativity can be successfully expressed regardless of experience given the proper guidance and a safe, nurturing environment. The goal for all graduates is the same: creative expression is a part of our DNA, so take every opportunity to share a part of yourself as you tell your story to others.

Vocal Arts

Vocal Arts at Pacifica set out to introduce the students at Pacifica to the joy and beauty of singing, while nurturing a lifelong desire to serve through music.

Students at Pacifica Christian High School are given the opportunity to share the beauty and joy of the human voice with each other, the Pacifica family, and our community at large. They receive professional voice and ear training in a choral setting while building the foundation of the fundamentals of music.

The two levels of choir, Cantemus and Concert, create a music family that performs for such campus events as Lessons and Carols, our Holy Week Service, Bloom, All School Dedication, as well as serving our community with performances at assisted living facilities, hospitals, and local holiday events. We participate in choral festivals throughout the year, along with Universities excursions where the students attend master classes and clinics with faculty and students alike. Domestic and international tours and festivals are a major part of our vision for the future as we seek more opportunities to enhance the Pacifica experience.

Our goal is to expose our students to varying genres of music, from Bach and Mozart, to Stevie Wonder and Adele, and every artist and style in between, so as to create a lifelong love and curiosity for music of all kinds, and inspire them to make music a part of their lives no matter what their future holds.
