TGC Honors Program

We offer a rigorous academic environment meant to challenge and stretch each graduating class. These challenges are met with creativity, talent, and determination. For those students wishing to graduate with honors, one more challenge is available to them—The Great Conversation (TGC) Honors Program.

TGC Honors means three unique pathways to enhanced learning:

Liberal Arts Pathway

The Liberal Arts path encourages students toward a solid general education with periodic deep dives into the individual subjects.

STEAM Pathway
two Pacifica students practicing using a blood pressure cuff

The STEAM path offers specialization in science, mathematics, and technology / engineering balanced by languages and the arts.

Humanities Pathway
Pacifica students reading books

The Humanities path provides a captivating study of English, History, Languages, and Arts.

TGC Scholars

Each of the TGC Honors pathways offers a special senior-study course called TGC Scholars, a one-on-one guided project with a faculty advisor. This project reflects each student’s personal academic journey and interests, and acts as a capstone presentation for their time at Pacifica. This research project culminates in a major paper or project and an oral presentation in front of the student body at our annual Senior Symposium.
