Biography

Amanda Ammann was born and raised in Southern California. She became involved in Youth Ministries at Purpose Church in Pomona at a young age and quickly developed a heart for the vocation of serving young people.

Her career aspirations came into sharper focus when she began her higher education studies at Citrus College, finishing her undergraduate work at Life Pacific University. There, she received a degree in Human Development and Psychology with a concentration in Counseling, as well as a minor in Biblical Studies. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Life Pacific, she furthered her studies at Azusa Pacific University, where she received her Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling, along with her Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Amanda is a member of the American School Counseling Association and is captivated by all things school counseling-related!

Amanda also enjoyed a highly successful career in the game of volleyball, as both a player and coach. She has served as a Club Volleyball coach for girls across many grade levels, as well as an assistant coach to her mentors at Citrus College. At Pacifica, in addition to her Academic Counseling work during the school day, she loves serving as Head Coach for the Junior Varsity Volleyball team, and Associate Head Coach for the girls Varsity beach and indoor programs.

Amanda considers it a tremendous honor to serve Pacifica as both a counselor and a coach, and looks forward to continuing to build connections with her students and players. Amanda firmly believes in the development of the person in mind, body, and spirit, and strives to encourage and foster this same development in both her students and athletes.

Mrs. Ammann enjoys movie nights with her family, taking her mini goldendoodle (Sailor) to the dog park, playing beach volleyball with friends, and date nights with her husband (Andrew).
