Hannah Mancia was born and raised in Ventura County. After high school, she moved to the Los Angeles area to attend Azusa Pacific University. There, she received her B.A. Degree in Liberal Studies for Teaching with a focus on Secondary Education. At the conclusion of her undergraduate work, she remained at APU to work full-time during the day as an Admissions Representative for prospective students while earning her M.A. Degree in Education with her California Teaching Credential in Social Studies in the evening. During her time in a liberal arts setting, Hannah fell in love with discussion-based classes that sought to pursue God’s truth, goodness, and character in all areas of life. Hannah comes to Pacifica from Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, where she taught for 3 years. While at Oaks, Hannah taught Ancient World Civilizations, coached girls’ and boys’ volleyball, and spent part of her summer in Egypt studying its ancient history. She is passionate about using history to explore, debate, and discuss how people have lived together in society and how it informs students’ own lives today. Hannah has also had the privilege to serve in high school ministry with her local church, walking alongside students as they navigate the truths of the Bible as it pertains to their lives and the world around them.
