Biography

Lindsey Knight was born and raised in Culver City, California. She developed a deep love of learning during her time as a student at Pacifica Christian High School-Santa Monica. Pacifica taught Lindsey how to pursue truth, beauty, and goodness by engaging in great texts and Socratic dialogue. Her Pacifica education stoked a desire to know more of God’s creation.

After high school, Lindsey went on to study Biology at UCLA. She found that studying quantum theory in physics lectures and complex chemical reactions in biochemistry labs magnified her awe and wonder of God as our creator. After school hours, Lindsey spent her time as the executive director of a tutoring organization, Project Literacy, which seeks to increase literacy skills of students in Los Angeles. During her summers, Lindsey worked as a camp counselor at Mount Hermon Ponderosa Lodge in Santa Cruz, CA, guiding middle and high schoolers in their faith.

It was her love of science and heart for relationship building that brought Lindsey to teaching. She spent five years teaching Biology, Forensics, AP Biology, and IB Biology at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. Lindsey developed leaders through the Link Crew program, facilitating mentorship between upper and lowerclassmen. She also spent the first few years of her teaching career getting her Master of Arts in Urban Education and Policy at Loyola Marymount University.

Lindsey is overjoyed to be teaching at Pacifica-Orange County. She hopes that her students leave her classroom more curious about life's intricate mysteries and equipped with the skills to take steps closer to its truth.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys reading, going to concerts, playing chess, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
