Born and raised in Orange County, California, Sarah attended Mariners Christian School and Mater Dei High School. Though she had always imagined attending a large university, she decided to attend Westmont College, a Christian, liberal arts college in Santa Barbara where she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies and a Minor in Hispanic Studies. During her time at Westmont, Sarah experienced first-hand the intentional learning that is fostered in a liberal arts setting with small classroom discussion and consistent interaction with faculty and staff during everyday life on campus. In her four years as a Westmont student, Sarah honed her Spanish skills while studying abroad in Querétaro, Mexico; worked as a classroom aid in a local, bilingual charter school; served as Resident Assistant to sophomore women; participated in a semester-long program in San Francisco working for a national nonprofit to support a network of tutoring centers in the US; and represented the student body as Vice President of the Westmont College Student Association. Sarah began her marketing career at Montage Laguna Beach, a luxury Southern California resort distinguished by excellent service and a values-driven culture. Beyond the daily management of all marketing and public relations initiatives for Montage, she was chosen to participate in the Montage Leadership class and sit on the board for Hearts of Montage, the resort’s associate-led charitable organization. In August 2015, Sarah was honored with the Montage Masters Award, a peer-nominated recognition of exceptional performance, attitude, and embodiment of the Montage values. It was at MCS that Sarah met her future husband, Wesley; the two began dating while at Westmont and were married in 2015. When the Parsons are not cheering on the Tritons at various sporting events and performances, they can be found soaking up the sunshine at the beach and sharing meals with friends and family. They have two girls, June and Charlie. Credentials B.A. Communication Studies & Hispanic Studies Minor — Westmont College |
