Daniel Garcia has an unwavering passion for helping followers of Jesus to cultivate a thoughtful and spiritually vibrant faith, especially among emerging generations. He is excited to walk alongside students who are beginning to take courage and ask deeper questions about God, themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. Daniel has been involved in various ministries for the last 12 years, including small group leadership, preaching and teaching, pastoral staff, junior high ministry, prayer teams, eucharistic ministry, local outreach, and more. He currently co-leads a small group with his home church in North Huntington Beach. Having earned a B.A. in Religion from Vanguard University and an M.Div. from Fuller Seminary, Daniel’s passion and purpose are for education and local church ministry — a bi-vocational calling he received from the Lord during pivotal high school years. He sees church and school as the most formative centers for students, second and third only to family, and has sought to be equipped to care for God’s people in these contexts through both experience and education. Daniel grew up in Azusa, where his parents, who are both from Mexico, did everything to provide him and his sister with the best opportunities. In his free time, Daniel loves to read great literature, Scripture, philosophy, and theology as well as to write. He feels privileged to have great friends with whom he shares life and laughter in the near-perfect sunny conditions of Southern California’s beach cities. Credentials |
