Pacifica Hires Additional Faculty to Instruct Growing Student Body

In keeping with our continued commitment to employ exceptional teachers, Pacifica is pleased to announce the hiring of Latin teacher Daniel Bellum and Digital Arts teacher Kelsea Gonzalez.Dan BellumMr. Bellum comes to us from Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica where he taught Latin and Spanish. Dan began his college career studying Classics and Medieval History at the University of New Mexico in his hometown of Albuquerque. After graduating, he continued to pursue his lifelong love of learning by earning a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature & Cultural Studies, with a strong concentration on Latin and Greek Language, Literature, and History. He moved to California to continue his education, earning a Master’s degree in Classics from a graduate program shared jointly by the University of California: Riverside, Irvine, and San Diego campuses. As an Orange County resident, he is excited for the opportunity to teach closer to home. You can read Dan’s full bio hereKelsea GonzalezMrs. Gonzalez has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Seattle Pacific University (SPU) where she majored in Visual Communications and minored in Art History. After graduating from SPU, Kelsea began her career in Graphic Design working for a Branded Merchandise Company in Seattle on their Sports Marketing team. There she worked on national accounts such as MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, AT&T, Crown Imports, Hershey’s, State Farm, and others creating pieces such as bobble heads, apparel, signage, and even an advertisement featured in Rolling Stone magazine. In the midst of pursuing her Graphic Design career, Kelsea was also assistant coach for Girls Varsity Soccer for four years at The Bear Creek School. While at there, her team appeared in three straight State Finals from 2011-2013, winning back-to-back State Championships in 2011 and 2012. You can read Kelsea’s full bio here.
